This past weekend I went along to the South Pelaw Heritage coffee morning where I heard from local councillors, residents, and historians about their work to bring the South Pelaw Miners banner home. Thanks to the huge efforts of Tracie Smith and Kath Connolly, the banner is currently being restored before heading home to Chester-le-Street CE Primary School.
